Recently I joined a yahoo group called StitchMAP. The goal of this group is to teach anyone who wants to learn many different needlework techniques. They have classes and mentors who help you learn the techniques. I knew immediately that I wanted to become a member of this group. These women are so talented. And they are very caring. From day one, they made me feel at home in their group and made me feel like a wanted member. :-) Also they encouraged me to start a blog for my needle crafts... so here I am. Lol
Crazy quilting and embroidery has become my favorite crafts. I do have many interests but Crazy quilting is so creative. The sky is the limit on what you can do with it. I uploaded a picture of one of my 8" blocks that I am working on. It is still in-works as I have more to do to this before it is finished. My plans are to add more embellishing to the inside of the state and also I would like to embroider the state bird for Texas, which is the mocking bird. I used different blue bonnet fabrics for the map and background. The state was easy to do. I simply found a picture of a map of Texas online and re-sized it in Paint Shop Pro then printed it out.
Wow Kelly....welcome to the "blog" world. Wonderful work. SUNELA
